Young Drunk Punk
In the backstreets of Calgary, Alberta, around 1980, Ian McKay and his closest friend Shinky, two young rebels, are on a quest to discover their significant futures. Together, they confront cowboys, oil tycoons, hockey toughs, film elitists, odd-job workers, and hair stylists. Throughout their journey, they manage to mature without compromising their ideals.
Supported by Ian’s imperfect yet caring family—his father Lloyd, mother Helen, and his wildly extroverted sister Belinda—Ian and Shinky seize new chances to astonish people each week. They spread their unique brand of quirky 80s rebellion, searching for love and striving to make a difference in the world, one young inebriated punk at a time.
